Infinity?

Infinity?

Religion programmes our mind to suppose

That infinity means nothing at all.

It's leaders are failing to open their minds

To keep up with humanity's call

For a better understanding of the meaning behind

The stories the scriptures have told.

Those stories passed down through the rivers of time,

They still are the stories of old.

The Jews and the Gentiles, belief in Islam

Their teachings directed at you;

All stuck in a time warp and force us to look back

Not forward to what really is true.

Do you ever look up into clear skies at night

And ponder how far the black goes?

Astronomer's speak of the light years beyond

And that only adds to our woes.

Why can't they admit that infinity's real

That it's not only a word but a fact.

It's endless out there or so it would seem,

Or is it all just a bit of an act?

Is our universe contained in a bubble of time

That our minds cannot begin to explain?

Does it expand with the passing of time

Then go plop and start over again?

But who blows the bubble to start the process

And who decides it's time to restart?

Its the Lord God above, it can only be He;

And I believe that with all of my heart.
